Carried By The River Of His Spirit

Then on the most important day of the feast, the last day, Jesus stood and shouted out to the crowds—All you thirsty ones, come to Me! Come to Me and drink! Believe in Me so that rivers of living water will burst out from within you, flowing from your innermost being, just like the Scripture says!” Jesus was prophesying about The Holy Spirit that believers were being prepared to receive. But The Holy Spirit had not yet been poured out upon them, because Jesus had not yet been unveiled in His full splendor. (John 7:37-39 TPT)

As I was spending some quiet time in The Presence of God, I had a vision that I feel strongly The Lord has impressed upon my heart to share with you all.

I had just finished praying and was sitting in stillness waiting and listening for The Lord to speak. I closed my eyes and I saw two incredibly large double doors made of gold. The doors were so massive that it would have been impossible for me to reach the doorknobs to open them and even if I could’ve reached them I don’t believe that I would’ve had the strength to pull the doors open on my own, but to my surprise the doors swung open by themselves. And when they did, I saw this beautiful, blue river that was crystal clear come powerfully rushing out.

I can’t explain how I knew this, but just within myself, I knew that this river represented The Spirit of God. I then heard The Lord say, “With Me you don’t have to test the waters. Dive in and allow My Spirit to carry you. With Me you will not sink nor do you have to swim. Simply rest in the ebb and flow of My Spirit.” Again, just within myself, my heart’s response was, “I’m diving in, Abba.”

Today’s focal verses say, “All you thirsty ones, come to Me! Come to Me and drink! Believe in Me so that rivers of living water will burst out from within you, flowing from your innermost being, just like the Scripture says!” Jesus was prophesying about The Holy Spirit that believers were being prepared to receive.

I believe today’s focal verses are a beautiful depiction of two things.

  1. ) It shows us what’s available to us as we believe in the words of Jesus, intimately come to Him and drink, and then dive into or submerse ourselves in The River that is His Spirit.
  2. ) As we are carried by this river that is His Spirit and we stay in it’s current meaning we stay in life-union, constant connection with The Holy Spirit, we then have the ability to become an overflow of that river for those around us.

I believe the river that I saw in that vision is the very living water that Jesus offers to us through The Holy Spirit. I also believe that same living water is what bursts out from within us flowing from our innermost being for others to dive into and be able to come to intimately know and become intricately connected to Him.

With all that is happening in the world today, “The River” HAS to be an essential part of our lives. Even as I’m writing you guys right now, The Lord has reminded me of another vision that I had in March of 2019 about “This River” that our God says is Living Water.

I was just lying on the sofa, reading my Bible, and contemplating some things that Papa God had put on my heart to accomplish creatively. So, I just simply closed my eyes to rest in Him— to dream with Him. And as soon as I closed my eyes, I saw this incredible waterfall pouring into this endless, beautiful body of water that was just powerfully rushing about. And in my heart, I just asked The Lord why He was showing me this. I then heard Him say, “There’s a cleansing taking place. Always remember The River.”

In that moment, for me personally, as a creative heart that cleansing looked like Him cleansing my heart of fear, me allowing myself to dream bigger with Him, and then taking that leap of faith to actually allow my hands to bring to fruition what He had already placed in my heart to create. But also for me to keep in mind that when fear starts to rise up, to always remember to come back to The River. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

This cleansing will look and be very different from person to person. It will simply be The Lord cleansing our hearts of anything that doesn’t align with His heart and His word.

My heart’s prayer is that we get to such an intimate place in our relationship or walk with God, that we don’t have to remember to come back to the The River because we never leave it in the first place. “But if anyone drinks the living water I give them, they will NEVER thirst again and will be FOREVER satisfied! For when you drink the water I give you it becomes a gushing fountain of The Holy Spirit, springing up and flooding you with ENDLESS life!” (John 4:14 TPT)

In closing, I would just like to say that we must do more than simply remember The River. We must dive into it. Drink of it. Submerse ourselves in it. Rest in it and allow this perfect river that is His Spirit to carry us.

To know You is to experience a flowing fountain, drinking in Your life, springing up to satisfy. In Your light we receive the light of revelation. (Psalms 36:9 TPT)

I Give You MY Heart

(Ezekiel 36:26 NIV- I will give you a new heart and put a new Spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.)

This evening as I was just soaking in The Presence of God, I had a vision that left me weeping with tears of joy and praising The Lord for Him allowing me to experience and encounter Him in such an intimate and profoundly beautiful way.

In this vision, I saw myself in a white flowing dress standing on what seemed to be a golden-paved pathway. The pathway was very long and on both sides of it there was this smoke arising that had a sweet-smelling aroma to it. I say smoke, but it was more like a vapor because there was a mist within it.

I knew that I was in The Presence of The Lord and I felt this gentle tug upon my heart and noticed that without me ever taking a step His love was drawing me closer to Him. I never actually moved to walk, but before I knew it I was standing right in front of Him.

I never saw The Lord Himself, but through this vapor-like cloud I saw His hand stretch out and begin to open as if He was going to place something within my hand. As I opened my hand He placed within it this beautiful, bright red, heart-shaped ruby.

I closed my hand and drew it to my heart as we naturally often do with the things that we cherish. As I placed my closed hand over my heart I felt the heart that He had placed in my hand begin beat. When I opened my hand, what I saw was that that little heart-shaped ruby had been transformed and it was now in a beautiful gold setting that was connected to a gold necklace that was somehow already around my neck. And within the gold setting, the heart was pulsating with Life.

When my hand let go of this little heart that now beating with The Life of our Lord, it fell to my chest and it was hanging perfectly positioned over my heart.

I closed my eyes to savor the moment— this precious, Life-giving, life-changing moment where I could physically feel The Father’s heartbeat drumming against my own. In doing that, I began to intently focus on the rhythm of His heart and the very second I did that, my heart began to beat in perfect tune with His.

Perhaps there was more that The Lord was going to show me tonight, but I was so undone by the river of His love that began to wash over me the very instance that our hearts started beat as one that tears of worship and adoration began to uncontrollably stream down my cheeks and there was this praise leaping within my soul that was longing to cry out to Him and couldn’t be contained any longer.

I’m sharing this with you guys because I want you to know and understand that when The Lord said that He would give us a new heart and a new Spirit, He truly and wholeheartedly meant those very words. I think we often have the understanding that it’s just a metaphor of the transformation that takes place on the inside us once we’ve accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, but I’m here to tell you that it’s so much more than that.

If we’re willing, God will not just give us a new heart, but His heart; a heart that doesn’t just beat because of Him in the sense that He’s our source of life or for Him in the sense that that’s how we offer ourselves to Him in worship, but a heart that beats with Him and with His heart.

In receiving His heart, you’ll effortlessly feel His everlasting love for you. As your heart begins to beat in perfect rhythm with His you’ll begin to hear Him whispering to your heart His beloved thoughts towards you and all of the incredible plans that He has for your life.

Abba, as You give us Your heart and pour out Your Holy Spirit within and upon us, give us the understanding and knowing to receive, embrace, and cherish it as not just mere words or as this metaphoric Christian ritual, but as Your very Life that You are so freely gifting to us that we may intimately know You and commune with You every single day of our lives. Lord, You and You alone are worthy. We love You and our hearts beat with affection, adoration, and gratitude toward You as The One True Living God and The Lover of our souls. In the name of Jesus Christ, Your precious Son, and our Lord and Savior— I pray, Amen and so be it.

HIS Whispers Roar Louder Than Our Storms

(Matthew 8:23-27 AMP- And after He got into the boat, His disciples followed Him. And suddenly, behold, there arose a violent storm on the sea, so that the boat was being covered up by the waves; but He was sleeping. And they went and awakened Him, saying, Lord, rescue and preserve us! We are perishing! And He said to them, Why are you timid and afraid, O you of little faith? Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great and wonderful calm; a perfect peaceableness. And the men were stunned with bewildered wonder and marveled, saying, What kind of Man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him!)

Yesterday during my daily morning prayer time it felt as if the thunder from the storm literally shook the earth around me. As a little girl, I can remember running to hide in the hallway closet of my childhood home every time a storm would come because for some reason I was deathly afraid of storms and I just felt safe there. Growing up that dark, small space had somehow become my place of refuge through every storm.

I have no idea why, but I had always been afraid of storms every since I was a very small child which was always funny to my family and friends, especially as I became an adult. But in deeply seeking God, building a relationship with Him, and trusting in Him with my life and not just with storm-related fears, but with my life in general, I haven’t been fearful of it storming in many years. What I felt yesterday was much different than the fear that always struck my heart like lightning during those storms that terrified me as a little girl.

Long before the storm had come yesterday, I was already in the closet. You see as an adult, the closet is very much so still my safe place. However, it has nothing to do with thunderstorms, but “lifestorms” instead.

My closet has become a very sacred place; a place very near and dear to my heart because it’s the place that I have the pleasure and privilege of intimately meeting with The Lord every single morning. It’s a place where it’s just He and I. It’s the one place where I can put my fears, worries, and concerns to death which allows my dreams, hopes, and the deepest desires of my heart to be resurrected providing them this everlasting life within me. It’s that place where His Presence always seems to amply abound— and in His Presence, it is there that I find true love, peace, strength, comfort, encouragement, inspiration, wisdom, understanding, purpose, and joy. (Psalm 16:11 CEV- You have shown me the path to Life, and You make me glad by being near to me. Sitting at Your right side, I will always be joyful.)

Yesterday, in the midst of that storm and as the thunder rattled and uproariously rumbled around me there wasn’t even the slightest notion of fear. In fact, I smiled as I felt the peace of His Holy Spirit fill and consume my heart. (John 14:26-27 AMP- The Comforter; Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby, The Holy Spirit, Whom The Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you. Peace I leave with you; My own peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.)

I find it amazing that even the faintest whisper of His voice speaking to my heart roared so much louder than the thunder from the storm ever could. And as I began to reflect upon that, I came to the realization that even as a little girl who didn’t fully understand what it meant to be in The Presence of The Lord or able to conceptualize what it meant to hear His voice— there in that dark, small space— He was always with me. And in Him being the all-knowing phenomenal God that He is, He knew that many years later yesterday’s storm would come and as I basked in ambiance of His Presence He would be able to remind me and bring to my remembrance that even as a very small child with no clear knowledge or understanding of what it meant to find peace in Him, He was there providing it anyway simply because I belonged to Him, He loves me, and knew my need for it. (Philippians 4:19 NIRV- My God will meet all your needs. He will meet them in keeping with His wonderful riches. These riches come to you because you belong to Christ Jesus.)

What yesterday’s storm and today’s focal passage reminded me of is— our God has the power to calm any and every storm. Whether it’s a thunderstorm rattling the world around us or a lifestorm rattling and wrecking the walls of our hearts, each can be calmed, stilled, and brought to perfect peace in His Presence. So today, I just want to encourage you to find a place where you can intimately and privately seek God’s Presence because when you call on the name of our God, He will lovingly and altruistically come. (James 4:8 NLT- Come close to God, and God will come close to you.)

He loves you with this unconditional, everlasting, all-consuming, amazing, incomparable, eternal love and He’s waiting to hear your voice. In your secret place, He’s waiting to hold you in His arms so He can whisper to your heart to quiet and calm your every storm. Wherever your storms may rage, trust that His voice can and will bring you unspeakable and indescribable love, peace, and comfort just as Jesus had done on the boat with His disciples that day and just as His Holy Spirit has done with me within the walls of my prayer closet for all of these years.

Heavenly Father, for every person reading this touch and speak to their hearts like only you can. Lord, in Your Presence bestow upon them Your love, joy, peace, and strength. Open the ears of their hearts allowing the calming, Life-giving whisper of Your voice to always roar louder than the thunder within their storms. Lord, never leave them. Be with them always because I know that wherever You are there is perfect peace and I want that for each and every one of their hearts. In the name of Jesus Christ, Your precious Son, and our Lord and Savior— I pray, Amen and so be it.

Fighting The Battles Of Life With Joshua-like Faith

(Joshua 10:12-14 CEV- The Lord was helping the Israelites defeat the Amorites that day. So about noon, Joshua prayed to The Lord loud enough for the Israelites to hear: “Our Lord, make the sun stop in the sky over Gibeon, and the moon stand still over Aijalon Valley.”. So the sun and the moon stopped and stood still until Israel defeated its enemies. This poem can be found in The Book of Jashar. The sun stood still and didn’t go down for about a whole day. Never before and never since has The Lord done anything like that for someone who prayed. The Lord was really fighting for Israel.)

As I read today’s focal passage it made me think about how much greater the quality of our lives could be if we all possessed that same unwavering faith in our Heavenly Father that Joshua had taken into battle with him that day. What would the reflection of our lives mirror if we never questioned or doubted The Lord’s Presence and power in our lives— but entered His Presence wholeheartedly trusting and believing that what ever we ask of Him in faith, He would liberally and graciously provide?

What astonished me about Joshua’s battle prayer is the manner in which he prayed. If you notice, he didn’t just ask The Lord to still the sun and provide the light that he needed to win the battle. His prayer was more along the lines of a faithful and declarative invocation. Meaning he didn’t ask. He simply spoke it forth in faith and trusted that The Lord would grant his request. To me, the incredible thing about that was— God did exactly that.

“The sun stood still and didn’t go down for about a whole day. Never before and never since has The Lord done anything like that for someone who prayed. The Lord was really fighting for Israel.” <— I was truly amazed by this and I contemplated why it is that God had never answered a prayer like that before and why it is that He hasn’t done it since. Could it be that it’s because we lack that Joshua-like faith? Could it be because when we enter God’s Presence it’s not with the kind of purposeful and tenacious faith needed to still the sun over our battles of life? Could it be because in our hearts we’ve already given up before the battle has even begun and we only enter The Lord’s Presence out of desperation and defeat and not with a true heart of faith and expectancy?

Today, I encourage you to let Joshua’s unfaltering faith be a reminder to you that when you enter The Presence of God and lay your concerns before Him, arise with a heart of expectancy knowing that our God is Jehovah Jireh and He will provide for those who believe in Him. (Mark 9:23 NKJV- Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”)

Just as The Lord honored the prayers of Joshua and fought for Israel, know that He can and will do the same in every single battle that you’re facing in your life. (Exodus 14:14 AMP- The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest.) Enter God’s Presence in faith and believe that He will answer your prayers because your faith allows Him to still the sun creating the light you need to conquer your battles and live a life of victory.

Armed And Ready For War!

(2 Samuel 22:31-33 NIRV- God’s way is perfect. The Word of The Lord doesn’t have any flaws. He Is like a shield to all who go to Him for safety. Who is God except The Lord? Who is The Rock except our God? God gives me strength for the battle. He makes my way perfect.)

As I began to meditate on the focal passage above, I was genuinely in awe of the beauty and power of our God and how phenomenal He is. Through His Word we have the ability and privilege of experiencing how in-depth His promises to us truly are. There was one incredible promise in particular that my heart grasped immensely and just wouldn’t let go of… He makes my way perfect. How amazing is that?!

By definition the word perfect means: flawless or as good as it is possible to be. Now, take a moment to reflect upon the fact that in us choosing to trust God and follow His lead, not only does He make our way better, but through Him our way is made perfect! No matter where our circumstances say we should be, God is saying, “The way that I have prepared for you is flawless!”.

It’s extremely important for us to always remember that God had a plan of perfection for us long before we ever even had the capacity to contrive a plan for ourselves. (Jeremiah 1:5 MSG- “Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you. Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you.”) He chose you and set you apart because He knew that He had incredible plans for your life.

We need learn to trust God and look to Him with the same eyes and heart as the Prophet Isaiah did. (Isaiah 25:1 GNT- Lord, You Are my God; I will honor You and praise Your name. You have done amazing things; You have faithfully carried out the plans You made long ago.) In other words, God will fulfill His purpose for our lives. We just have to trust and praise Him through our storms because at the end of every storm, the sun is destined to shine again.

In the 29 precious years that God has allotted to me thus far, I have come to not only realize, but to understand that I can’t do this thing we call life without Him, but the beauty in that is, He never intended for me to. (2 Samuel 22:36 NOG- You have given me the shield of Your salvation. Your help makes me great.) Without God, I am nothing. All that I am, I owe to Him. It is His Presence in my life that strengthens me, gives me peace, and makes me great.

(Psalm 144:1-2 NLV- Praise and thanks be to The Lord, my Rock. He makes my hands ready for war, and my fingers for battle. He Is my Loving-Kindness and my Walls Of Strength, my Strong Place and The One Who sets me free, my Safe-Covering and The One in Whom I trust.) There is nothing that we will ever face that the power of God can’t conquer. Who is God except The Lord?! Who is The Rock except our God?! God gives us strength for the battle and the war. He makes our way perfect! He has equipped us with everything we’ll never need for His purpose in us to prevail. The Truth of His Word is our shield, our strength, and our protection, so we are armed and ready for war! And our God has promised us victory!

I love you guys!

With GOD, You Can Slay “life” And Win!

(Isaiah 9:4 VOICE- You will shatter the yoke that burdens them, You will lift the load that weighs them down, You will break the rod of their oppressor.)

The power and Presence of God reigns supreme exceedingly above and surpassingly beyond all things. The beauty in our intimacy with Him is, no matter what we may have to endure in life or no matter how difficult life may seem at times, it doesn’t have the power to defeat us. Though we often can’t conceptualize the blessings and breakthroughs that God has ahead of us in the midst of the weight of our burdens and the brokenness that our hearts bear, the fact still remains that our God is so much greater than all of the heartache, disappointment, fear, and frustration that we allow to consume us.

If we truly believe in God and the promises of His Word, then why do we still try to carry our own crosses instead of entering into His Presence and laying them before Him? (Matthew 11:28-30 MSG- “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to Me. Get away with Me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with Me and work with Me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with Me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”) Jesus gives us the option to exchange our brokenness and our ashes for His crown and His beauty. There is no exchange in this life that is greater than that.

It’s so crucial that we learn to trust and have complete faith in God instead of relying on ourselves because I can promise you this, our efforts will never match or compare to His power. He’s The Foundation in which we live, walk, breathe, stand, and literally exist and there will always be this need for more and this feeling of inadequacy without Him in our lives. I think the reason we often feel defeated and overwhelmed by life is because it’s simply not enough for us to want God to be in our lives. We have to know that we need Him and by need, I mean need as in can’t live without Him and then surrender that need in His Presence. Our lives would be fulfilled in ways that we never could’ve imagined, dreamed of, or even prayed for if we just allowed our hearts to embrace that truth. We want to know and then trust, meaning we want to be able to see before we believe. But God wants us to trust and then know, meaning He wants us trust Him before we’re able to see and know in our hearts that He will provide. (2 Corinthians 5:7 GNT- For our life is a matter of faith, not of sight.)

I believe with my whole heart and soul that with God this life will not defeat me. I believe that He has already conquered everything that has the power to break to me as well as everything that I’ve felt has left me broken. And the reason I believe that is because Jesus said it. (John 16:33 AMP- I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have perfect peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer, take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted! For I have overcome the world. I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.) I believe in every truth that He promised in His Word and that’s what I want for you.

Don’t live your life feeling defeated and merely existing. Live your life believing that God is with you, expecting Him to help you conquer and overcome victoriously, and knowing that He has the greatest reward with your name written on it if you’ll simply trust Him. Live your life with a smile in your heart as well as on your face not just as you overcome, but as you slay the life that involves everything that has tried to defeat you knowing that God has prepared a Life of perfection ahead of you!

I love you guys!

Who Does Your Day Belong To?

(Psalm 74:16 NIV- The day is Yours, and Yours also the night; You established the sun and moon.)

Lord, this very day and this very night is Yours. … What a beautiful and hope-filled truth for us to reflect upon and take to heart. Our days and our nights belong to God. He established the earth and everything in it. So, we too belong to Him and every breath we take and every beat of our hearts are all ordained and administered at His hand and by the sound of His voice. When God speaks, supernatural, miraculous, life-changing, Life-giving things take place. The sun, the moon, and the stars without question are all unparalleled wonders spoken into existence by the voice of God, but as you marvel at the beauty that He’s created around you, don’t forget to marvel at and embrace the beauty that He’s created on the inside of you.

So often we lose sight of ourselves and the beauty of who God created us to be seeking after or dwelling on things that were detrimental to our lives and that were never worthy of our time or our effort in the first place. But how much greater would each day and night be if we chose to seek after the priceless treasures of God instead of the things that deter us from His promises and devalue the essence of His purpose for our lives? How much greater would our lives be if we chose to live knowing that each day and each night truly is God’s and that for those of us who believe, He’s not only fighting every single battle of life that seems to a constant force fighting to break us, but that Jesus said that He has already conquered those battles and won the war for us?! (John 16:33 AMP- I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have perfect peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer, take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted! For I have overcome the world. I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.)

Know and believe that no matter what you go through and no matter how tedious life may seem at times, absolutely nothing can separate you from the endless love of God and His extraordinary purpose for your life. (Romans 8:37-39 NLT- Despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, Who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.)

Awake and arise in the morning with joy in your heart knowing that your day is God’s and sleep in perfect peace at night knowing that your night is His as well. Nothing and no one can sever the promise of God’s love for you or His faithfulness to you. So chose to live life fearlessly and faithful and not just to simply exist in it broken and silent. Don’t give up! Stay in faith and refuse to quit because though you’ve endured and suffered through what seems like an endless nightmare, on the inside of you lives a God Who provides the power, ability, and capacity to become the reality of a beautiful dream. Tattooed On The Very Hands Of GOD!

(Hosea 14:4 CEV – You have rejected Me, but My anger is gone; I will heal you and love you without limit.)

I think this verse displays just how extraordinary God’s love truly is for us because even when we’re unfaithful to Him and to ourselves, His love for us never changes. (2 Timothy 2:13 AMP – If we are faithless; do not believe and are untrue to Him, He remains true; faithful to His Word and His righteous character, for He cannot deny Himself.) As humans our character is sometimes modified by our emotions or our circumstances. Meaning, who we are or in some cases who we become can be shaped by the pain that we carry or by how we feel or by the emotional connection we associate with what we’ve been through. One of the most amazing things about God is that He remains God no matter what. And unlike us, His love and faithfulness will always stand unchanging and unconditional.

In the midst of this beautiful disaster that we call life, we will all inevitably make mistakes and fall short of His Will, but the beauty in our shortcomings is that His grace allows us room to be human, but more importantly it grants our hearts the priceless benefit of receiving the beauty of undeserved redemption. In those moments when our feelings or our circumstances have gotten the very best of us and we tend to stray away from God are the very moments that His heart is longing for us to draw nearer to Him. It’s in those intimate moments of desperation in His Presence that allow us to literally feel the truth of His promises to us at work within us.

(Isaiah 49:16 NIV – See, I have engraved you on the palms of My hands; your walls are ever before Me.) Imagine how much you would have to love someone in order to tattoo a picture of them or even their names on your hands for the whole world to see. In most cases, we wouldn’t dare think of doing such a thing. Now, imagine the fact that God has your name and face engraved on the palm of His hands and then think about how incredibly great His love is for you that He would do the very thing that you wouldn’t even dream of doing. The verse from Isaiah says, “Your walls are ever before Me.”. To me that means that even when we get lost within ourselves and find it hard to muster up the strength to enter into God’s Presence, our presence is always with Him and every time He opens His hands and He see your face, He remembers your heart and smiles because even when we’re struggling to be faithful to Him, we are still His creation and still His beloved chosen.

The one question that you’ll never have to ask God is, “What do I mean to You?”, because we serve a God Who not only shows us how deep His love runs for us, but wears a physical display of what we mean to Him every single day. There is no greater love than the love of our Savior. So, as God welcomes you into His Presence with open arms remember to take a look at His hands, for it is there that you’ll see your face; the very reflection of His heart for you.

I love you guys!

The Wait Is Worth It!

(Mark 4:39 CEV- Jesus got up and ordered the wind and the waves to be quiet. The wind stopped, and everything was calm.)

If Jesus could stop the wind from blowing and the waves of the sea from raging just by simply speaking forth the words, “Be still.”, imagine what His words have the power to create, calm, and quiet in our hearts. Sometimes we allow the frustration of self to deafen our hearts to God’s voice and blind us of His vision for our lives. I think when we give our all or our everything to something or even someone, we want and expect the “power of now” to take action right then and there. Meaning, we want instantaneous results for our efforts. We want to see right then in that very moment that all of our hard work was worth all of the blood, sweat, and tears that we’ve put forth.

However, as my relationship with God has grown, I’ve realized that my “power of now” is not nearly as effective, productive, life-giving, or life-changing as the power of God is. And sometimes when I’m praying for “now”, He’s saying, “Not now. Trust Me, I have better for you.” And I’ve learned to trust that. Whenever I allow the self-destruction of impatience to distract me from hearing God’s voice, I remember Him whispering to my heart to be still just as He had spoken before to hush the wind and quiet the waves. God has the power to calm our every storm. We just have to be still long enough to listen for His voice. (Psalm 46:10 NIV- He says, “Be still, and know that I Am God.”)

I know that the best of me is found in Him and sometimes no matter how much or how deeply I long for the action of “now” to take the reins in my life, if He says wait then I know that that’s what’s best. Though He empowers me through His Spirit that has taken root and blossomed on the inside of me, I am yet still just a mere human being capable of failing, falling short, and making mistakes. I have to remind myself that He’s God; The One Who created me, gave me the heart to be great, and a gift to achieve it.

So, if I am to entrust my life to someone, who better than The One Who gave me Life to begin with? (Psalm 46:5 NIV- God is within her, she will not fall.) Trust and believe that God is with you. I promise you that He won’t let you fall and if He says be still and wait, know that it’s always worth it!

I love you guys!

Sometimes, It’s The Voice Of Your Tears That Speak The Loudest

(Psalm 63:1-8 CEV- You are my God. I worship You. In my heart, I long for You, as I would long for a stream in a scorching desert. I have seen Your power and Your glory in the place of worship. Your love means more than life to me, and I praise You. As long as I live, I will pray to You. I will sing joyful praises and be filled with excitement like a guest at a banquet. I think about You before I go to sleep, and my thoughts turn to You during the night. You have helped me, and I sing happy songs in the shadow of Your wings. I stay close to You, and Your powerful arm supports me.)

This passage truly humbled my heart today because I know how much it means to God for us to just calm and quiet the hustle and bustle of our day to love on Him and just give Him a moment of praise. If you’re anything like I am, there have been times where I’ve just gotten so busy and caught up within myself that I’ve forgotten to stop for a second to simply say, “Lord, thank You.”.

I now make it a point to set aside time during my prayer time everyday to not only say thank you and to let Him know that I thirst and hunger for more of His Presence in my life, but I become completely transparent with Him letting Him know that I’m desperate for Him. I’m not a shouter when it comes to worship. I’m a crier, so I worship Him the deepest and sincerest through my tears. And more often than not, those are the very moments that He will allow me to feel His Presence the most and hear His voice the clearest.

So today, I just wanted to remind you that, that intimate time that you spend with Him letting Him know how much He means to you will bring about blessings in your life that you didn’t even ask or pray for. (Matthew 6:6 NIV- But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, Who is unseen. Then your Father, Who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.)

It’s not how loud you shout that matters most to God. Sometimes, it’s simply the gentle trail of the tears streaming down your face coming from a humble and surrendered heart that speak the loudest. Sometimes, it’s simply that quietness in His Presence that says, “Lord, I love You”

So, choose to love on Him today and let Him know that in your heart He’s worthy of all honor, glory, and praise!

I love you guys!
